This ingenious tool, called kakehari or "third hand" offers you the chance to have that extra hand you've always wanted! While it cannot help with dishes, it will pinch your fabric to help give you a better tension to work quickly and easily. It is useful for basting, binding, embroidery, piecing, patchwork, and Sashiko stitchwork. Approximately 4" x 1.5".
The clamp can be used along with the third hand (kakehari), which can be helpful for sewing fabric, piecing and patchwork, allowing you to work with more speed and efficiency.
